The opposite of an engaged faith is the desire to find and enforce easy answers and sweeping generalisations that push genuine exploration to one side in favour of an easy life. You won't find that here. Here you will find an attempt to create a space for sitting with the uncomfortable questions and seeking for creativity and depth to emerge from the tensions those questions create.

Not Default Settings

I can’t remember where I came across the notion of ‘default settings.’ Almost certainly in a middle-of-the-night TikTok/FB video rabbit hole. But I love it. It carries the meaning of what is often called ‘normal’ but without the weight of othering implied to those whose needs or identities fall outside of what is considered normal.

Hoping in holiness
